Nestled in the centre of the city, Oxford Castle Unlocked exposes the stories about Oxford’s past that have been locked inside for centuries – a past that reaches as far back as 1071, when the original castle was built for William the Conqueror, to 1996 when the site was finally relinquished and redeveloped. The Castle hosts an impressive year round events programme which includes its annual Ghost Fest, Knight School, summer outdoor Theatre and a German style Christmas Market.
Oxford Castle - Unlocked is open daily from 10.00am (last tour 4.20pm).
